Get Involved > Social Ministry
- Sign up to cook a dinner for the Emergency Overflow Homeless Shelter
- Help at the Shelter (training is provided)
- Sort and pack food and other items at the Regional Food Bank; or organize a group to go on a regular basis
- Donate food to our local food pantry - baskets are available at each entrance to the Church
- Participate in the Damien Center's PAWS program - help people with HIV/AIDS care for their beloved pets
- Volunteer at the St. Paul's Center, a homeless shelter for women and children (please contact Jane McDermott at (518) 434-2910))
- Walk in the CROP Walk in May
- Walk in the AIDS Walk in October
- Write a letter to your congressional and state representatives - information on how to do this is available at Church
- Help others be informed by becoming an expert on a topic of your choice - see www.bread.org or http://hungeractionnys.org for ongoing efforts to end hunger
- Make food or volunteer to serve/clean up at the Damien dinner in February, or the Senior Communion Luncheon in May
- Organize the sale of Fair Trade coffee (information will be provided)
